How it works
Astronomers use parallax to judge distance by observing the same object from two positions. We do the same with prices — one product, many vantage points.
Identify the product
Every item is pinned to its barcode (EAN/UPC) where one is published, so we know exactly which product is being priced.
Search UK retailers
We look for that product across UK online shops, checking that size, variant and pack quantity genuinely match before counting a result.
Compare like for like
Prices are compared in pounds including delivery, so what you see is the real cost to your door — not a headline price that grows at checkout.

We're starting with health and beauty, where the same product is often sold at widely different prices across UK retailers, and expanding from there.

Parallax Price Compare is an independent UK price comparison project. The same bottle, jar or box can differ by tens of pounds between British retailers — often because a listing is stale, on promotion, or simply overlooked. Parallax exists to surface that difference.
